Former Kilkenny Senior Hurler Christy Heffernan says he wouldn’t be concerned about Kilkenny conceding 3-11 against Offaly in last Saturday’s Walsh Cup Semi-Final.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Saturday’s Walsh Cup Final, Christy says January is acceptable for making mistakes and finding things out.
“Well, they looked to be very impressive even though there are a lot players being tried out. I suppose the home venue should contribute towards it.
“I would expect they should win the game. Lads have to start somewhere, and this is the time of the year to get them involved and hopefully find some new blood.
“Now is the time to make mistakes and find things out and certain times, the team can get no goals and still win the match, but conceding three goals.
“The bottom line is every game no matter how it finishes, once you have more than the opposition at the end, that’s all that matters,” he said.
