Ballyhale Shamrocks will be looking for a new senior hurling manager.
This, after Kilkenny great Henry Shefflin announced his departure from the Kilkenny club in the wake of retaining their senior club hurling title this past weekend.
Ballyhale made it back-to-back titles with a 0-18 to 0-15 win over Tipperary’s Borris-Ileigh.
Their win on Sunday was the eighth time to lift the Tommy Moore cup, having claimed their first title back in 1981.
Birr (4) and Portumna (4) are the clubs closest rivals in terms of titles won, with Shefflin etching his name in the history books having won multiple titles as player and manager.
With his original two-year term at a close, Shefflin informed the Ballyhale players that family and personal commitments kept him from taking on a third year at the helm.
