Kilkenny will be hoping to make home advantage count this Saturday with Nowlan Park assigned to their All-Ireland intermediate camogie championship semi-final.

The Cats – 2016 intermediate champions – take on Meath – 2017 champions – in Nowlan Park this Saturday at 2pm and we’ll have full coverage of the game on KCLR, online at Scoreline.ie and via the KCLR app.

Dropping their opening league fixture to Antrim (2-13 to 1-12), Kilkenny bounced back in Callan at the end of July with a comprehensive 2-24 to 1-07 victory over Kildare. They closed out their league campaign two weeks ago, seeing off Cork at Jock Lockes Park 2-07 to 0-09.

While they were beaten by Galway in their last group fixture, Meath opened the summer with a 1-19 to 1-10 win over Dublin before brushing Carlow aside 5-14 to 0-13.

The Royal county set up their date with Kilkenny by seeing off Derry 2-13 to 2-11 last weekend, with Antrim beating Kerry in Banagher 4-19 to 1-07 to book a date with Galway in the other semi-final.

For their part, Galway have found the back of the net 11 times in three games after a spotless Group 1 campaign. Opening day in Athenry saw them bury Carlow 4-19 to 0-04 before putting 2-16 past Dublin in round two and finishing up with a 5-13 to 2-09 win over Meath last time out to top their group.

Kilkenny’s minor side are also in action this Saturday as they face Galway in their Tesco Minor All-Ireland A Championship semi-final in Abbotstown, again with a throw-in time to be confirmed.
