Tullaroan Marathon Race Director Vincent Guthrie says there has been a fantastic International response ahead of Saturday’s Marathon.
Vincent told KCLR that a number of different countries have been represented.
“We have a great response all over the country but we also have a great response Internationally”
“We have 6 from Canada taking part actually their (The Canadians) are calling it coming home from America”
“They are tracking their relatives back to Kilkenny. They are delighted to be coming. They have sent private messages and Facebook and emails to say they are coming home”
“We have participants from Spain, we have them coming from Norway and we have some of the top runners in the country coming as well”
“Even in the Ultra Marathon we have guys who are probably going to run it in 5 hours which would be a phenomenal time for 39 miles in the country”
