Hungary continue to punch above their weight

Hungary make it three for three as they defeated Netherlands , and go into the next round undefeated.

Cian Kelly is running riot over everyone in his way, but things could have been different if Promes effort on the edge of the Hungarian box wasn’t fantastically saved by Gulacsi. A few more chances for the Netherlands occurred but nothing that really tested the keeper.

Hungary still hadn’t come into the game really. Which must be the reason why Sallai seemed to fumble a cross by Lovrencsics on the 21st minute. Surprisingly this fumble just showed how lethal Sallai really is, as by sure instinct alone, he had the ball in the back of the Oranje net. Putting Hungary up one nil. You can be sure it wouldn’t be the last.

The new chant “ We are Hungary , We are Hungary, We will eat you up” could be heard throughout the stadium as fans wanted more goals. What they got was a gobstopper , as Memphis Depay had the ball in the Hungarian net on the 39th minute. Netherlands still had a possible chance to go through.

Hopes were dashed by Szalai only five minutes later, who scored to put Hungary ahead going into half time. Chants started again, and jubilation was felt in the whole stadium especially when Hungary made it three as Szoboszlai, wasn’t quite full and had more room for goals before halftime.

Sallai scored again after half time, but the game had lost its sting for most of the second half. Netherlands will be hugely disappointed to exit the competition while Hungary are happy to continute to defy the odds
