As Kilkenny track gears up for the Unraced 525 quarterfinals on Friday (14th May), manager Tom Kinnane says it’s impossible to pick a favourite for the competition.
It got underway last weekend and involves dogs that have never competed before and can sometimes unearth some star performers.
Tom told scoreline.ie that it’s like a lottery.
“Next week we could be talking about six or seven other different dogs so yeah, it’s exciting, it’s over the next couple of weeks (competition)” said Tom.
“The beauty of this is that it’s over four weeks and if you’re to pick the winner, if your the last ten lads trying to pick the winner, you could always pick the wrong dog and something could pop out next week and be the new favorite for the competition if you like”.
