In a highly entertaining O’Byrne Cup opener, Carlow were unlucky to go under to Meath by four points at Netwatch Cullen Park yesterday evening.
Carlow led by 1-5 to 0-3 at halftime, and it was only in the final ten minutes that Meath edged in front. After a great build-up on each occasion, Carlow saw two great goal chances flash off the post and go wide. Darragh Foley with number 14 on his back scored a hugely impressive 1-8.
INSANE KICK from Meath's 14 Diarmuid Moriarty sealed an incredible comeback for The Royal County to kickstart Colm O'Rourke's managerial campaign.
