Aisling Curtis is baffled by the decision of the Camogie Association to not allow intermediate teams enter the All-Ireland Intermediate Championship if a county has a senior team.
Speaking following the news of Kilkenny’s exclusion from the Intermediate Camogie Championship, Curtis described how the news was bitterly disappointing for the entire panel.
“It’s devastating news for everyone involved,” Curtis said.
“It ended before it ever really began. We’ve put in as much training as the senior team and now we are treated like a second team.”
Curtis, who also captains her club side Clara, penned an open letter following the decision, expressing how the whole panel felt mistreated about not being given the opportunity to compete for the All-Ireland title this year.
