Ireland’s involvement in the Olympic individual show-jumping event is at an end.

Cian O’Connor & Kilkenny finished with a clear round and one-time fault which was only good enough to finish in seventh place, but best of the Irish.

The result was half a second outside the eventual six-finalist jump-off.

Bertram Allen & Pacino Amiro finished 15th with two poles on the floor at a time of 84.64.

Darragh Kenny aboard Cartello finished with eight faults and two poles down in a time of 84.64, placing 17th.

The Irish riders will return for the team event on Friday.
