GOWRAN PARK
Tuesday, April 9
First Race: 4.05pm (8 races)
There is €30,000 worth of prize-money on offer in the feature Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Handicap (4.35) at Gowran Park on Tuesday evening and the chances are that Joseph O’Brien could pocket plenty of it as he is responsible for five of the 13 runners.
If jockey bookings are a pointer to the pecking order, perhaps it will be Crochet who brings home the biggest cheque as Joseph’s younger brother Donnacha is on board.
Crotchet is having her first start for O’Brien having joined him from the Richard Fahey stable, but stall ten is not good news for the daughter of Lethal Force.
Red Tea, who used to be trained by Peter Hiatt, is also making her Irish debut, while Waitingfortheday, Tuamhain and Vallambrosa complete the trainer’s quintet in the race.
The first of eight races at Gowran Park on Tuesday is due off at 4.05pm and the going is yielding to soft.
