Victory against Israel would see Jim Crawford’s men become the first Irish team to qualify for a major tournament at this level.
A two-legged tie will take place between the teams between 19-27 September with Ireland hosting the Israelis before the reverse fixture is played.
The tournament is due to kick off in June 2023 with Romania and Georgia staging the event.
