Ireland will have to get past Israel if they are to qualify for next year’s Uefa European U21 Championship.

Both sides finished second in their qualifying group behind Italy and Germany respectively.

Victory against Israel would see Jim Crawford’s men become the first Irish team to qualify for a major tournament at this level.

A two-legged tie will take place between the teams between 19-27 September with Ireland hosting the Israelis before the reverse fixture is played.

The tournament is due to kick off in June 2023 with Romania and Georgia staging the event.
