IT Carlow Basketball Head Coach Martin Conroy says the main priority for the Ladies Team is to consolidate their Super League status especially with a very young team this season.
The girls travel to Cork to play UCC Glanmire on Sunday, and speaking to KCLR, Martin says, the home games will be most important to maintain their status among the elite.
He said “We have a very young panel, we have three kids that are 18 or under, one of them just coming off the Irish Under-16 programme for the European Championships”.
“It’s going to be a tough year, we got to make sure that we aim at games that we know we can win, our objective this year is to kind of make sure that we stay in the SuperLeague, I’m not saying that we want to lose games or anything like that but to make every game count in the way that we need to play it”.
