We are about to reach the crescendo of the Kilkenny Senior Hurling League.
This Saturday Bennettsbridge will meet Tullaroan in UPMC Nowlan Park at one o’clock with KCLR there providing full live coverage for the league final.
Tullaroan are riding a crest of a wave after besting the county champions Shamrocks in the last league game, to jump them in the league table.

Tullaroan half-forward Bill Gaffney seems to understand the magnitude of the final ahead of their quest for the club’s record-breaking 21st Kilkenny Senior Hurling Championship, their first since 1994. Speaking to Scoreline. Gaffney was pretty motivated to start gaining some momentum with a win on Saturday;
“It is great to have a bit of silverware to play for before the championship starts. So it will be great to get a win.”
“You have to be all guns blazing a week before the championship. You cannot take it easy so it will be do-or-die for us, go out and win every game we can.”
“Finishing top is great, we won three of our matches, drew one, and lost one. It is good going in the league, but from now on it is about winning the next game, that is all we are focusing on.”
