“It’s an honour and a privilege”: Bennekerry/Tinryland Set for Leinster Semi-Final Showdown

Bennekerry/Tinryland are set to take on St. Patrick’s in the Leinster Intermediate Club Football Championship semi-final this Sunday, with a throw-in at 2 pm in Dundalk.

KCLR will be providing live updates as Carlow’s champions look to continue their journey through the championship, driven by a profound sense of purpose and community support.

Captain Shannon Cotter shared with the LGFA social media channels how the team is playing to honor those closely connected to them who have passed away, making this campaign deeply personal.

'We have a few people up in the sky looking down on us..'

“Lauren’s Mammy Mary. We have Amanda Kinsella and Kathleen Mullins looking down on us,” Cotter said. “I suppose every club goes through it, and it is what it is. But we are able to put our best step forward and show that we can kind of pull together, and we’re lucky to be in the position that we are in.”

She added, “I to be able to represent my club at this level, and also I suppose, Carlow at this stage.”

Stay tuned to KCLR this Sunday for live updates from Dundalk as Bennekerry/Tinryland push forward in their quest for Leinster glory.
