James Stephens forward Matthew Ruth says they won’t know how preparations have gone until they have hit the ground running.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Friday nights clash against Dicksboro, Matthew says they have prepared as well as they can.
“Oh sure, I suppose it is a big game, but at the same time it’s a League game, it’s two points compared to a County Final last year.
“We have prepared as well as we can for these matches, we have had a long enough layoff, but I think we are ready for it anyway, but you don’t know really until you go out there.
“Everybody is fit anyway and raring to go, we don’t really know till we hit the ground running in those matches, but at the moment preparations are going well and we are training hard,” he said.
The game is at 7.15 in Nowlan Park Friday night.
