Kilkenny and Ballyhale Shamrocks Senior defender Joey Holden says their was still a lot of pre-season work done with the County Team despite the All-Ireland Club Finals been played two months earlier in January this year.
Joey was named on the AIB Club Team of the year for helping the club defend their All-Ireland crown, and speaking at last weeks awards ceremony, he was only concerned about the County once the club season was finished.
He said “It is it’s good, but I suppose we still have the Pre-Season so we would have still done a lot of work, we wouldn’t have been selected as suppose on the teams, just done a lot of work to kind of get up to the pace of the lads so it’s tricky, there is a lot of fixtures there to fill in, I wasn’t too worried about that, I was focusing on Ballyhale and winning a Club All-Ireland and that was my only focus and taking every little stride as it comes after that”.
