Johnny Murtagh says that Graignamanagh Jockey Shane Foley is a Champion in the making.

Shane is currently second in the Jockey’s Championship behind Colin Keane, and Speaking exclusively to KCLR ahead of last Saturday’s Irish Derby, Johnny says Shane has the potential to go to the very top.

He said “Maybe numbers wise, it might be hard for him to be Champion this year, but the way he is going at the moment, once you get momentum into the second half of the season, he rides for Jessie(Harrington), he rides for us, he picks up plenty of spares”.

“He is definitely a young jockey with a big future, it mighn’t happen this year, but he is a Champion in the making”.
