Katie Taylor says there is no reason why Kilkenny’s Claire Grace can’t win a medal in future Olympic Games.
Katie was speaking to KCLR on last nights “The Way it is” in her role as Toyota Ambassador, and she says that female Boxing in Ireland continues to improve.
“It’s absolutely fantastic. Women’s Boxing is so healthy in the country at the moment”
“Seeing the likes of Kelly (Harrington) win her (World Championship Silver) medal and the likes of Claire win her European medal there a couple of years ago”
“It’s absolutely brilliant and great girls to be around and great team spirit among the whole squad as well, so there is no reason why those girls can’t go on to win Olympic medals and they do great things in the sport as well”
