Carlow Senior Hurling forward Marty Kavanagh says he is not too concerned about Carlow scoring only three points in the 2nd half of Sunday’s comprehensive victory over Kildare.

Speaking to KCLR, Marty says it’s early in the year and there is plenty to work on.

“We are obviously very disappointed with the 2nd half scoring 0-3. It’s not good enough like so look it’s only February as well so we have loads to work on so we will go back at it on the field during the week and drive it on.

“I suppose going in with such a big lead at half-time, we were kind of off I suppose with a bit of complacency too.

“We were told at half-time not to get complacent and we did like so we have that to work on.

“I suppose there was a bit of a wind there as well, we kind of went a bit too defensive instead of kind of trusting ourselves to drive it on in the 2nd half,” he said.
