We took a little break from the KCLR & David Buggy Motors Kilkenny Sport Star awards owing to the covid-19 pandemic but we’re back now and better than ever.
This month’s winner is David McClure from the Kilkenny Aqua Canoe Club who was crowned the European freestyle kayaking champion back at the start of October.
David, who’s ranked fifth in the world beat off competition from Spain and France to get the gold medal for Ireland at the event in Paris, France.

Every month we look to honour those involved in any sport in Kilkenny be it a team, player, volunteer, administrator, teacher, trainer, grounds person or someone that’s at the heart of your club or group.
