The future of Carlow Rowing Club is bright
Keara Egan and Sadhbh Scully have their sights set on international success as they prepare to row for Ireland in the coming weeks.
Keara is set to row for Ireland at Homes Regatta later this month in women’s lightweight single sculls taking place in Scotland while Sadhbh will row at the Coupe in the WJ4x in Italy in 3 weeks!
The duo won the Junior Double Championship of Ireland on Friday with Sadhbh winning the Club Single Championship in style on Saturday.
Carlow rowing club’s PRO Elaine Grant spoke to KCLR about the 17 year old’s recent national championship win
“Its absolutely amazing, the truly amazing thing about these girls are they are the first female doubles partnership to win at the Irish rowing championship in the history of the Carlow rowing club. We are 160 years old this year”.
