Former Carlow Senior Football goalkeeper John Kearns says that it’s great that players actually want to play for the county now unlike previous times in the past.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday’s clash away to Limerick, John says that the likes of Clare have proven that there is nothing between the divisions once you get out of Division 4.
“People are finally wanting to play for the County again and for a number of years that would have been the other side of the coin.
“If Carlow can get into Division 3 like the better the quality of games, the better the team will improve.
“The likes of Clare there and Tipperary playing in the Division 2 are an example, like they were playing Carlow there only a couple of years ago in Division 4 so I think if they get out of Division 4 they can progress from there,” he said.
