After Kilkenny kicked off their season last week with the Pat Maher Shield, Carlow got in on the action this weekend in the form of the KCLR Shield.
It truly was a festival of football on the Carlow side of things with 17 games in total being played in the Champions League style competition. Kilkenny began their Premier division and had on game in the first division with St. Canices playing at this level for the very first time.
