Kilkenny Senior Camogie player Edwina Keane says it’s all about getting plenty of rest as she recovers from having her damaged her cruciate recently.
The side are getting ready for the trip to face Galway this weekend after drawing with Clare in Nowlan Park last weekend.
Edwina will be out of action for a lengthy period of time, and speaking to KCLR, she says says her injury setback leaves a huge void…..
“It’s just literally just rest and just to keep your knee elevated the whole time”
“Keep your leg elevated the whole time just so that it can give it the best chance possible that it can basically grow again and start to increase the muscle around it”
“It’s only now that I can’t do anything, that I realize how much it is a part of my life, just to be able to go to training or go do my own bit on the sideline or even just pucking at home”
“I can’t do any of it so it’s just really a big shock in my daily routine or what my usual summers would be but thats it, it could be worse, all the same if they told me I could never play again it would be a lot worse so”
