Local boys and girls football clubs are heading for the west of Ireland today for Feile Peil Na NoG.
The tournaments are being held in Kerry, West Limerick and West Cork from tomorrow till Sunday.
From Carlow, Fenagh, Rathvilly and Mount Leinster Rangers are heading down and Kilkenny are represented by Thomastown and Dicksboro.
Meanwhile Rathvilly Feile Football manager John Smith is hoping for the best with the experience they have from last years squad in which they were victorious in the Feile competition.
Rathvilly are been hosted by Kenmare Shamrocks of Kerry and John told KCLR that they have most of last years panel available again this year.
“There is yeah. We have about 10 or 12 of them that were there last year”
“We have a panel of about 20 and the rest of them kind of moved up from Under-12 level”
“A mix of 13 and 14 year-olds. We have some very young lads who are after coming up from under-12. We are hoping for the best anyhow”
