Kilkenny CBS edged out St Kierans yesterday in an all Kilkenny Leinster Senior A Schools Hurling Final.
It was a close fought game throughout but CBS held on for a 2-12 to 1-13 victory at St Johns Park.
CBS led by 0-8 to 0-7 at half time and the difficult conditions at Johns Park made it a real battle.
However goals from Ronan Buckley and Niall Brassil gave CBS the impetus they needed to go on and take the bragging rights on this occasion.
Both Sides will no doubt have a big say in the upcoming Leinster Championship early in the New Year.
