Kilkenny District League is gearing back up for action at the start of September in the Maher Shield and there could be an addition of five new teams into the leagues.
Chairman of the KDL John Corrigan was speaking to KCLR Saturday scoreline and says he’s excited about the prospect of the new teams.
He outlined who will be involved in the upcoming 20/21 season:
“St Canice’s are a new team to junior football, there was a very famous St Canice’s schoolboys set up for years and years there, it’s great to see a new club coming back in”.
“Spa United is coming back in with two teams and just the way thing are gone, young lads want to play so they’ve two teams”.
“We also want to welcome back Ballacolla from Laois and there’s a possibility of a Deen Celtic B team coming back in” he said.
