Kilkenny Senior Hurling manager Brian Cody says you can’t have a good training session when you are playing from week to week.
Speaking after last Sunday’s League Semi-Final victory against Wexford, Brian says training is most important and essential to get the best preparation for matches……
“You can’t train like when you are playing Sunday to Sunday”
“You can’t actually have a good training session. It’s very important from the point of view of the overall panel”
“Everybody involved in a training session like a 15 on 15 game to see exactly how things are and what fellas are doing and that’s the only opportunity we had really”
“Everybody talks about we train too often , we don’t play enough, but I mean you need to train too to get ready for matches and obviously the ideal thing is every two weeks, but we had a very very good training session in between times and it does help”
