Kilkenny Minor Hurling manager Richie Mulrooney says they will have to work in a certain manner to deal with the physical presence of the challenges that lie ahead.
Speaking to KCLR after Saturday’s comprehensive victory over Wexford in the Minor Championship, Richie says they have plenty of skilful hurlers to try and compensate for their deficiencies.
“Even the way we were training and all of that, we do have a team that is short physically and in stature, but look, there is no point in denying we have a lot of really skilful hurlers and we just have to work in a certain manner to overcome the physical presence of the other teams that we will meet.
“It’s good to have those two matches won, we win next Friday night up now in O’Moore Park, that would put us top of tier 1 and then we have an away quarter-final I think we will see how June pans and we will certainly hope to be getting out of Leinster”
They face Laois next in O’Moore Park this Friday at 7pm.
