Kilkenny Rugby Captain Wes Carter says their good run of results has come at the right time ahead of a Towns Cup Quarter-Final on St. Patricks Day
Speaking to KCLR after their draw confirmed their Division 1A status of the Leinster League with a draw against Dundalk, Wes says the squad deserve massive credit for the way they have turned the season around.
“A lot of guys were inexperienced coming in this year at the beginning. Guys had to really step up and I suppose represent their club” he said.
“It took a big turnaround, but the players really took control of it, and after losing our first five games, we then went on to win five from six after that, so it’s been a real I suppose mixed bag of a season but thankfully it’s coming right at the right end of the year”.
