There was disappointment for Kilkenny in the Senior Championship with a 1-12 to 10 points loss to Galway.
They’ll now take on Offaly in the Quarter Final on Saturday week.
Kilkennys U16s had a big win over Limerick, 4-18 to 7 points was how it ended up, they take on Dublin next weekend.
They made it two wins from two after defeating the treaty women in John Locke Park Callan. The kittens were well on top at half time despite playing against a stiff breeze. They led by 5 points at the interval 0-10 to 0-5. In the second half the flood gates opened up wth the aid of that stiff breeze and a hat trick from corner forward Kym Ryan. The kittens recorded an impressive 23 point victory.
