With another month behind us and the summer drawing shorter, the club hurling and camogie scene is thriving in Kilkenny, with plenty of action in the pool, on the water, the track, the pitch and in the ring.
As we turn into September, it’s time to open the nominations for the August round of the David Buggy Motors Kilkenny Sport Star Award.
Congratulations again to Anna Brennan, crowned July winner of our monthly award. While there will undoubtedly be a lot of attention on the world of Gaelic games, if you’ve seen someone deserving of a nomination from any sporting background over the month of August, then we’d love to hear from you.
Was it someone who caught your eye during the first few rounds of the club championships, or on the track as local athletics clubs hit some big summer events? Is it an individual or club you think are being overlooked for the work they’re doing? Now is your chance to nominate an individual or team for their efforts on or off the field of play. Submit yours before midnight this coming Saturday 9 September and we’ll be announcing the winner on Monday morning (11 September).
