It’s another big week for Kilkenny Storm as three of the local club’s players step onto the ice for Ireland from today.
Beginning at 3.30pm Irish time, Ireland begin a four-day spell in Füssen (just north of the Austrian border) where they’ll meet Liechtenstein in the opening fixture of the IIHF Development Cup.
Zac Cummins, Alec Young and Damian Roche form part of the Irish setup with five games pencilled in between today and Saturday.
Following the Liechtenstein game, it’s a 7am start on the ice tomorrow against Algeria before meeting Andorra at 2.30pm (Irish time). Friday sees a 6pm game against Colombia before finishing out proceedings against Portugal at 6pm on Saturday.
