Kilkenny Under-16 Hurling manager Richie Mulrooney says the spirit and camaraderie within the squad will help them greatly ahead of next years new look All-Ireland Championship which will be an Under-17 competition.
Speaking to KCLR on last nights “The way it is” after winning the Under-16 All-Ireland Championship on Saturday, Richie says the unity within the squad has been developed throughout the year….
“Many’s an Under-16 Arrabawn Team from any county that won the Arrabawn didn’t go on and win Minor, but it should certainly give ourselves a boost ahead of next years Minor in that we have a smashing group of players as regards attitude and character”
“Just really good bunch of young fellows and their sense of togetherness and unity wasn’t just created on Saturday and they had worked so hard for us throughout the year and we are just delighted with them”
