Kilkenny Under-21 full-back Conor Delaney says that Derry will provide a very challenging task as they look to book a place in the All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Final.

Speaking to KCLR ahead of Saturday’s All-Ireland Semi-Final clash, Conor says they are well prepared and well focused for Saturday’s game…..

“Preparations are very good yeah. After the Leinster Final, we had a round of club matches and after that we had a very short break and then had a very tough block of training and led into the next round of club matches last weekend and papering it down now and really just keeping our heads now for the match on Saturday”

“Three very good wins against three very strong teams, very tough fought win against Westmeath up there, so confidence would be relatively high but at the same time, we are keeping the heads grounded and we know the magnitude of the task that is ahead of us the weekend”

Conor also says the latest round of club games helped them take the mind off Saturday’s All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Semi-Final clash with Derry.

Speaking to KCLR, Conor says they are only focused now on getting the job done on Saturday.

“I suppose you have to just take every game as it comes and I suppose we have the club games to keep us a small distracted from the whole set-up and also keep the heads to deal for those matches so I suppose there is no one getting carried away with themselves with regards to thinking ahead, so there is no real pressure but I suppose everyone just kind of wants to get the job done from the weekend and want’s to start preparing for what hopefully might lay ahead”
