Having cleaned up all around them on a return to Leinster League rugby last season, the women of Kilkenny RFC are ready to do it all over again this coming Sunday as Division 4 gets underway.

Beating Tallaght to promotion last season, Kilkenny will be mixing it up with Navan, Tullamore J1, MU Barnhall J1, Wanderers, South East Lions and St. Mary’s College over the course of the season. With eight teams in Division 4, Kilkenny will start the season at home (Foulkstown) to Garda with captain Rosie Miller set to lead the line.

A home win will be key to starting the season on the right foot with two away fixtures set to come later this month against Tullamore J1 in Spollanstown (Sunday 16 October) and Wanderers (Sunday 23 October).

Kick-off this Sunday in Foulkstown is at 1pm.

Training for the women’s team usually takes place on Tuesdays from 7pm and Fridays from 7.30pm at Foulkstown with new players over the age of 18 welcome.
