Ireland has secured a bronze medal in the four-kilometre Women’s Team Pursuit at the European Track Cycling Championships in Switzerland.
Kilkenny’s Mia Griffin, Kellie Murphy, Emily Kay, and Alice Sharpe finished three seconds ahead of Great Britain in the third-place ride-off.
Ireland’s time of 4:21.262 was nearly four seconds quicker than their opponents, who covered the 4km distance in 4:24.904.
Germany landed gold with France in second place.
