Kilkenny Senior Forward Walter Walsh says the new Championship structures helps greatly by getting more game time.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday’s All-Ireland Final against Tipperary, Walter says that games coming thick and fast means their is minimal chance for competitive games in training.
He said “Very good, very decent, tough games. I suppose this year, there probably hasn’t been as much of a chance to play a lot of these games with the structure of the Championship, the League and straight into the Championship and you are trying to play club games”.
“You can’t play as much games as we would have in the past, but definitely the new structure gets us more with the likes of playing Galway, Wexford and Carlow this year and you get more game time and that only brings on the younger lads as well”.
