St. Mullins Senior Hurling Selector Pat Coady says it’s been difficult for teams to be motivated in the Carlow Senior Hurling Championship with just the 4 teams competing in this years competition.
St. Mullins play Naomh Eoin Myshall in the first of Sunday’s Carlow Senior Hurling Semi-Finals, and speaking to KCLR, Pat says it’s only now where the real hurling begins…..
“Once a game took a particular pattern and if one team got on top, I don’t think the opposition would have exactly killed themselves trying to get back into a game and maybe still lose a game that they would put a full effort into and then suffer maybe the blow of losing the game that they went full out on for like so it’s been a tough championship”
“It’s been tough for players to motivate, it’s been tough to get things going in the hurling field, but now that we are down to the knockout game, you can see the pep in the step of the boys step and we are really forward to the weekend and the challenge that Naomh Eoin are going to present to us”
