21 weeks after the last round of matches, the SSE Airtricity League resumes this evening.
The first game on the block is Derry City’s meeting with Sligo Rovers. Sligo will be hoping to win their first points of the Premier Division season having lost all four matches so far. Kick off at the Ryan McBride Brandywell is at 5.45.
Then at 7.45, Stephen O’Donnell brings his St. Patrick’s Athletic side to Oriel Park for a meeting with his former club Dundalk. Dundalk can join leaders Shamrock Rovers on 15 points with a win tonight.
There are four games in the First Division, all of which kick-off at 7.45. Athlone play Wexford, Bray Wanderers take on Cobh Ramblers, Galway entertain Cabinteely and UCD host Longford.
The FAI has tonight written to all SSE Airtricity League clubs reminding them of their commitment to the FAI’s Safer Return to Play protocols ahead of the return to action this weekend.
