The victory was highlighted by outstanding performances, particularly from the Detail Mens Wear Man of the Match, Robbie Donnelley. In a post-match interview, Donelley deflected personal accolades, attributing the success to the collective efforts of the entire Thomastown panel.
“Yeah, the subs coming in, they always make an impact. And I suppose that’s what pushes the starting team. You have them lads training, or training fierce hard, they’re going as well as anyone else. It’s unlucky, that it’s hard to change things up in this kind of match. The subs are massive every game because you get a boost seeing them coming on, fresh legs.”
Looking ahead, Thomastown is set to travel to Newry for their upcoming match against Sentanta, scheduled for 2 PM. As the Kilkenny teams continue their successful campaign in the Leinster competitions, the weekend’s victories underscore their dominance and skill on the provincial stage.
