Kilkenny County Board Handball Chairman Martin Lalor says Saturday’s tribute tournament in honor of the late Michael “Duxie” Walsh is a fitting tribute to the most successful player in the game.
Speaking to KCLR, Martin says that Duxie’s name is always to the forefront in Handball conversations.
“You get to see the top Handballers in the country like paying for we call a fitting tribute to in our opinion and probably the vast majority of people, definitely the most successful Handballer of all time and probably the greatest Handballer of all time, Michael “Duxie” Walsh.
“And as somebody wrote in the programme that whenever Handball is ever spoken about that Michael “Duxie” Walsh will be to the forefront of the conversation” said Lawlor.
