Rounders has been included in Feile na Gael for the very first time and tomorrow(Saturday) the Feile competition takes place in the Centre of Excellence in Fenagh.
Speaking to KCLR, Joe Donohue from Ballon who is Chairman and President of the National Rounders Association told KCLR there will be plenty of representatives from around the country.
“Well we have teams coming from Sligo, Mayo, Limerick, Dublin, Galway and Carlow and Laois. We have 14 clubs here taking part altogether.
“You have two clubs here in Carlow. You have Cuchulainn Rounders in Ballon and you have Bagenalstown and them two clubs are taking part. Bagenalstown would possibly be the most successful team in the County, Cuchulainn would come next but Bagenalstown would have won quite a lot of Senior Ladies, quite a lot of allstars and would have contributed quite a lot to rounders,” he said.
