The 2021 Goffs Thyestes Day is in the bag.
We’ve been trackside all day chatting with trainers, winning jockeys and getting all the action of the day with Racing TV’s Kevin O’Ryan and commentator Jerry Hannon, live on air and in-app.
There were no winners this year for Willie Mullins as heavy going conditions threw up a few surprises across this year’s event.
Instead, it was the Gordon Elliot-trained Coko Beach with Jack Kennedy on board that took top honours, stealing the Goffs Thyestes Chase and the bumper prize pot it brings.
Indeed, it was a 1-2 in the feature race of the day with stablemate Run Wild Fred coming home second. For Mullins, third-placed Class Conti was the best of five runners for the local trainer. It’s a second win for the younger Kennedy brother (21) who rode Monbeg Notorious to victory three years ago.
On scoreline this weekend we’ll be hearing from Jack and Paddy Kennedy among others victorious today.
