For the third time this season, Carlow will meet Wicklow in competitive football action this weekend as the 2023 Tailteann Cup gets underway.
It’s a road trip again for Niall Carew’s senior footballers where following a draw in the opening round of the Allianz Football League earlier this year, Wicklow went on to dump Carlow out of the Leinster senior football championship in the first round.
With a shot at redemption for the county on the cards, we’re off to Echelon Park in Aughrim at 4pm on Sunday as we begin Carlow’s cup journey for the summer. Given the new format this year, we’ll also have the home visit of Limerick and a road trip for Longford to look forward to.
