There’s a big weekend ahead for local athletes as Ireland’s best cross-country runners head to Santry Demesne in search of national glory and European selection.
The Irish Life Health National senior, junior and juvenile even-age championships take place this Sunday.
Kilkenny’s Aoibhe Richardson is due to travel from the US for this weekend’s event with Eoin Everard set to compete in the ten thousand metre event.
Gowran AC, St. Senan’s, Thomastown, St. Josephs, Kilkenny City Harriers, and St. Laurence O’Toole’s all have athletes registered for the competition.
The action on Sunday will get underway with the U12 girls at 11:30 am (full timetable HERE) building to a crescendo with senior women’s 8,000m and senior men’s 10,000m at 13:45 and 14:25 respectively.
