Longford Senior Football manager Padraic Davis says their main priority in Division 3 of the National League is survival.
Speaking exclusively to KCLR ahead of Sunday’s clash in Carlow, Padraic is hoping they can continue the good run of away teams in the matches played so far.
He said “From our own viewpoint, we are all about getting safety first and we just want to get the points on the board to consolidate our position in Division Three and then everything else after that will be a bonus”.
“It’s a huge game with ourselves and Carlow, we are on the road and I suppose the most encouraging thing we can take from that is that an awful lot of teams have won on the road so far in the Division so we are hoping we can continue that trend” he said.
“Carlow had a very good performance last week against Westmeath. They traveled, grinded out a point for themselves and they were very unlucky not to get two so we are hoping we can perform on the day and give ourselves a chance”.
