Kilkenny camogie star Katie Power says she hopes that her injury woes are firmly behind her for the upcoming championship.

The side gets their league campaign underway in the next few weeks however it will be later in the year before Katie returns to action after a serious knee injury.

She watched from the sideline as her teammates tasted All Ireland success last December and says it was very tough not to be involved.

“Yeah it wasn’t nice and for that five or ten minutes I was on the field, the biggest pain that I’ve ever experienced, and hope I never have to experience it again,” said Katie.

“I struggled through it and holding it together now so hopefully at some stage ill be hurling during the year” she added.

She’s working on rehab at the moment but has said she has no timeframe for a return.

Listen back to our Clash Act podcast this week with Katie Power, Katie Nolan, and director of TJ Reid’s gym in Kilkenny, Richard Connolly.
