It looks like The Carlow Kid has his next fight.

While nothing official has been announced from BAMMA, the Facebook exchanges between ‘The Carlow Kid’ Andy Murphy  (1-1) and SBG’s Dylan Logan (0-1) over the long weekend all but confirms the showdown.

BAMMA return to Dublin for their second show in the capital inside six months.

BAMMA 27 took place in Dublin’s 3Arena in December of last year, before moving to Belfast for BAMMA 28 in February. With BAMMA 29 booked for Birmingham this weekend, there’s just under two months before the 30th edition lands back at Dublin’s 3 Arena on Friday 7 July.

When July comes around, this will be Logan’s first appearance under the BAMMA banner. He made his pro debut at Clan Wars 26 last December, dropping a second round TKO to Polish featherweight Daniel Rutkowski (1-2). You can watch that full fight below.

For Murphy, this will be the Tinryland native’s third fight for BAMMA. He found defeat in his professional debut at BAMMA 26 last September, SBG’s Richie Smullen picking up a submission victory, but bounced back in February with a first round stoppage of Stephen ‘The Fury Killer’ Kilifin.

‘The Carlow Kid’ joins Team Ryano Kilkenny’s stablemate ‘Magic’ Myles Price on the card for Friday 7 July, Price facing SBG Portarlington’s Philip ‘The Honeybadger’ Mulpeter in what should prove a super fight for Irish MMA fans.

Tickets for BAMMA 30 go on sale shortly.
