Kilkenny Minor Hurling Manager Richie Mulrooney says that their Wexford counterparts would have been familiar with them having played them at Under-16 last year.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of today’s (Saturday) Leinster Minor Championship clash, Richie is well aware of the tough challenge ahead based on last years results.
He said “I just know that last year at Under-16 level, there would have been two tournaments for the National Hurling weekend, one down in Wexford and one down in Mallow and Galway won the one in Mallow defeating Cork in the Final, and the one that was played down in Wexford was won by Wexford themselves, they beat Tipperary in the Final and Wexford would have beaten Kilkenny on the way to that Final”.
